Creating an account and passing the identity checks costs nothing. The only fee to start earning is the one-time activation fee, which you pay if you want to withdraw earnings or apply for a loan. It is shown to you again at the moment you pay, so there are no surprise charges.

Task pay

Every task shows what it pays before you start it, so you always know the rate up front. You are paid for completed work that passes review. Pay is not guaranteed because it depends on how much work is open and on the quality of what you submit.

In practice this means three things. First, projects open and close, so there may be days with less work. Second, you are paid only for tasks you finish, and each one is reviewed before payment. Third, earnings go into your EarnNaija balance, and you can withdraw them to a bank account in your own name once your account is activated and your balance reaches the withdrawal minimum.

Loan costs

Loans range from ₦10,000 to ₦150,000 for 1, 2 or 3 months. We charge a flat fee of 5% of the amount borrowed for each month of the loan.

BorrowMonthsFeeTotal to repay
₦20,0001₦1,000₦21,000
₦50,0002₦5,000₦55,000
₦100,0003₦15,000₦115,000
₦150,0003₦22,500₦172,500

Repayments are split equally across the months. Because the fee is flat and you repay in parts, the true yearly cost is higher than the monthly percentage suggests. Compare it with other options before you borrow.

To put the loan fee in perspective: 5% a month is the same as 60% over a full year if you kept the whole amount for twelve months. Our loans are short, from one to three months, but because you repay in parts, the amount you still owe falls each month while the fee does not. That makes the true yearly cost higher than 60%. This is why we show the exact fee and the exact total to repay before you confirm, and why we suggest you borrow only what you need.

Borrow carefully

Late or missed repayments can reduce your limit and lead to the collection steps in our Terms of use. Only borrow what you can repay from income you are sure of.
