How to prepare for exams when you only have two weeks

Two weeks is not much, but it is enough for a focused plan. Choose priorities, practise with questions and protect your energy.

How to prepare for exams when you only have two weeks

When time is short, the goal is not to learn everything. It is to learn the most important things well and to practise answering questions.

Days 1 and 2: Plan

List every subject and topic. Mark each one as strong, medium or weak. Collect past questions and your syllabus or marking guide, since they show what examiners usually ask.

Days 3 to 10: Study in cycles

  • Spend most time on weak but important topics.
  • Study in blocks of 40 minutes with a 10-minute break.
  • After each block, close your notes and write down what you remember.
  • Solve past questions under time limits at least three times a week.

Days 11 to 13: Review and repair

Go through your mistakes. Make a one-page summary for each subject with formulas, definitions and key points. Read these summaries more than once.

The day before

Do a light review, prepare your documents and materials, and sleep early. Do not try to learn new topics at night.

Protect your energy

Drink water, eat proper meals, and take a short walk each day. All-night reading usually harms memory more than it helps.

On exam day

Read the instructions carefully, start with questions you know, and keep an eye on the time. If you get stuck, move on and return later.
